Late for Work in a ’66 Lebaron
Steve, an Indiana native, sat in the back of the 1966 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron at the Day 4 Hebron, Ohio stop of the 2024 Hot Rod Power Tour. Steve shared his memorable Late for Work story in the back of the long, black, beauty while seeking refuge from the heat. Outside the car stood his grandson and son, Terry, who now owns the car that his dad purchased in 1985. Someday Steve's grandson will become the third-generation owner of the 1966 Chrysler Imperial in their family.
Steve shared the history of the car dating back to its original Amish owner, who purchased two 1966 Imperials equipped exactly the same brand new. Steve thinks the thirsty 440-cubic inch engine may have been the reason the car was eventually sold. In 1985, when Steve bought the car, the Imperial became his daily driver until he retired in 1995.
This family, three generations strong, was enjoying their automotive bond with thousands of others at this year's Hot Rod Power Tour. They were a great example of family ties that can be shared and strengthened by spending time together enjoying classic cars and hot rods.
Thanks for watching!

Frankenstein Impala is an All-Wheel-Drive Monster
Переглядів 362Місяць тому
One-of-a-kind 1966 Chevy Impala All-Wheel-Drive is a monster built by Hayden, Alabama's Keith Lively that rules the roads. Our Junkyard Life brother has built many wild hot rods but this one may be the ultimate Hot Rod Power Tour vehicle. It hit the scene at the 2013 HRPT in Texas, and at the time, was (and may still be) the only all-wheel-drive 1966 Impala. Lively has wheeled it more than 80k ...

Barracuda was a matter of hours BEFORE MUSTANG ...
Was anyone killed in that wreck?
million dollars just for the vehicles....still have to haul all of them off add more $$$$$$$
From 1967 up that would accept a 390 and 4speed or more
Super nice ride 👏👏👏👏💯😎👍🇺🇸
You should probably practice upon your math. It's a sixty six it's only fifty eight today
Hertz Mustang! I wonder if its numbers matching as it was a thing to rent them and steal the high HP engine and replace it with something less.
Ummm…oh yeah, southern.
67-68 FB
I dont even like Mustangs but I love that thing.
I still have my father's original numbers matching 67 Shelby GT 500. California car, no rust. Purchased in 1985. And my 65 Fastback from highschool, 1988. Thanks for sharing! Happy 4th of July
I understand attachment to things and legacies but at the same time you need to know when to let go. He waited 30 years to long. Its the shows that people watch and think I’m sitting on gold because they still see the sentimental value and what the once was. But that only goes so far at the end of the day. I tried really hard to buy three Nova’s back when I was younger. Two at the same house and another by itself. 66-65 and a 69. All in great condition. After 15 years past I got a call from the 69 and I ran to it. It was totally rotted out. The old gentleman said I can see the pain in your eyes son. What’s ya thinking. I just said it like it was , sir you waited so long that it’s gone and I seen it when it was still running. I could have done something with it. He agreed and gave it to me. I made a video the whole way from his house to junkyard to the crusher.
Same car that James Garner drove in Grand Prix Hertz mustang
Just casually has a Hertz....
That was a funny story about the cop.
You ask a hundred people you'll get a hundred different answers.
El auto que ranto anhelo

1969 fastback. 4spd with a 302 and a posi trac rear end. My buddy and a cousin had one each. They screamed!
I'll bring a mobile scale & we'll talk.
It’s definitely a cool place but not worth anywhere near the price
62
Just the trim on all them cars probably worth a million
What the Hell is sticking out of the top of the fat guys head ?

If this Thing really was “Stored” like this, what does anybody think the shape of the Frame is like? Having owned a ‘70 LS6 back in the ‘70s I know from experience how Corvettes were not exactly “ Quality-Build” . Many of these ‘Vettes leaked like the proverbial Sieve. Window Frames (integral part of the Body structure) , love to rust and can be a major headache to replace. 40yrs in a almost open environment? No thanks!
If somebody has a million dollars, they really don’t need a job.
I always wanted one.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯💯💯💯💯
There to far gone waited 20 years to long scrap em
Ok speaking from experience, we get asked to clean up estates like this all the time. One we had to remove cars from in a week, lots of the cars broke apart when pulled being sunk in the ground. We had an excavator for moving trees and cars, semi truck for moving cars off property and dump truck for small pieces. Only 2 cars lived on, I paid for semi truck, dump truck and excavator for a week and only had $1500 profit left over for a weeks work. Sad by all the cars in this video will get scrapped. A lot could be rat rod parts but some to far for that
You could pay me 1milli to remove them all, since your that kind of crazy
My buddy has a 69 Cobra Mach 1 428 sitting in a skinning shed. Been there since 76
I have 65 and . Brand new. 69
So very true drive
67-68 GT s or the 66 and maybe the 65 and 64 and 1/2
